Genuine question, /bant/, why do people smoke cigarettes? I never understood their appeal and I see them as nasty. Whenever someone around me lights one, the smoke really disgusts me. I really can't stand it, and it has sometimes forced me to leave a gathering. Since my mom, brother and grandma all smoke, I avoid hanging out with them too much, only when necessary.
