I think being a strong authority figure is important. My dad is quite passive so I leaned towards my mom's beliefs until I snapped out of it at 15 or so. After talking to him for a few years, I rejected his beliefs too because they were so passive and cucked - you know how lolbertarians are. With National Socialist beliefs, the truth is on your side so you just have to be a positive role model for your kids and I believe they will stick with you.
