>>11241913such is life. no lecture today at least and it should be a relatively alright shift
>>11241932depends on the context really. kitchen is far and away my favorite, under no circumstances would i choose to do anything other than that given the option. ushering/floor is probably my second favorite since those positions have the most freedom/least active supervision so they can waste a lot of time however they want when it's not busy and when it is they usually don't have to interact with customers.
concessions and bar fight for the bottom 2 spots depending on the day. concessions has the most guaranteed customer interaction, relatively little freedom, and such annoying tasks to do during downtime that it's sometimes preferable to just be busy in the first place. it also has the widest variety of people who work the position so any given day is hit or miss whether your coworkers and supervisor will be a saving grace or complete damnation. with bar you really don't have much on your plate other than sitting in the bar and waiting for customers so it can get quite boring especially with nobody to talk to but sometimes that's preferable to being a captive audience. if it's going to be busy though it's really painful since i have very little experience in bar and it's by far the most complex job we have. on the upside there's a TV in there and you get tips, though
>>11241943fortunately the standards are very low. just sweeping anything big and pointing a spray bottle at some designated spots
sounds like it'd be worse to me. at least with the computers it's like a new problem to solve every time instead of screwing in the same screw all day
