Women should not be out and about while breastfeeding though, they should stay at home with their newborns. Babies don't like to be over stimulated while nursing, and most of the bonding benefits come from having quiet time alone with their mothers. Babies also shouldn't be exposed to so many germs from the public. But try to tell this to these "independent, strong" women and they start screeching at you.
These women don't want to mother. They want social brownie points fro mothering.
