>>11274732Very nice having traditions like that. Love it!
My older son, Chris, and I, used to watch "Mommie Dearest" on Mother's Day.
">"NO WIRE HANGERS!! "
As terrible a story as it is, for some reason the two of us had fun with it.
During the movie, we'd trade stories about all the mother's we knew who were pretty much horror-shows in one way or another. The Screaming Banshees. The Frightening Authoritarians. The Sneaky Cheaters. The Bitchy Divas. The Loud Lushes.
I'd make Chocolate Eggcreams (chocolate milk and seltzer) and brownies, and we'd have many laughs. Sick humor, but, that's that kind of friendship the two of us have. We can talk about anything.
"Tropic Thunder" & "Fear of a Black Hat" are two other movies we'd watch regularly.
When he was a teen, I bought him a black tee-shirt that says "333"...meaning 'only half evil".
Although he's truly a Saint in Disguise, his wit is so sharply honed, it can be devilish in nature.
Thatsa my boy!!
There I go a'musing, again.
When he was a kid, a psychic once told me he had been my father in a past life, who had abandoned me...and was here to make it up to me.
I think she was spot on, although she didn't know anything about me when I went to her. It made me a believer, especially because she predicted his medical condition that occured soon after, AND, one other very significant thing that came to pass some years later.
Oops. The musing doesn't seem to want to stop.
