It's true that not all immigrants flooding in are doing good for us. There are many who live here and hate us, only coming for material gain.
The ones who come here because they actually want to become American though, those guys are some of the most based people we have. They usually work their asses off, and appreciate our freedoms and culture in a way most fully assimilated people never can. They have something to compare it to.
The people who came here fleeing communism, and their immediate children that hear stories of communism from their parents -- those people are some of the most valuable citizens we have right now. We're in the middle of a communist revolution right now. People who have lived under (and rejected) that system in Cuba the USSR are mostly speaking up. They speak from experience, and as such may help save this country.
