Gender, instead, is nothing but the roles and social constuctions the human societies have associated with sex. Genders can vary and have varied a lot through the different times and cultures. Summarizing: your physical features and your preferences are natural and permanent, but anything else are nothing but social constructs and you can change them, including marriage, of course.
