Their "professional" desktop computers aren't soldered, however they purposefully make it a nightmare to open up. They use multiple, uncommon screws everywhere. There's also no clear instructions on how to dismantle it, because they don't expect anyone that isn't them to do it. All in all, macs really feel like a fisher price toy for the kiddies.
