The discussion for the song of "sudno" and, eventually the poem has degenerated so fucking much after it blew up on tiktok.
At first it was just some fucking idiot in the comments of a re-upload saying that it's about suicide. That he's Russian and incorrectly translating "Sudno" to mean bathtub.
Then. It turned into a shitshow.
Am I the only one who sees this? Am I fucking don quixote fighting a fruitless battle about everything I fucking hate about the internet?
Kids get mad at me when I say that no, this isn't about suicide and when I ask them why they interpret it that way.
They get so fucking defensive when I call them out for being thoughtless sheep, defending an lie that someone told them. Am I insane anons?
In this case it's about literature and interpretation of a foreign poem that nobody who doesn't already know about it gives a shit about it, fine.
But to me this is an indicative of a much bigger problem, no one is willing to spend 5 fucking seconds making up their own opinion, instead. What other people tells them becomes their opinion with no input of their own.
