>>11386716Still haven't quite figured it out. The obesity rates for our country have mostly been made what they are by our brethren who live east of the Rockies, and even when you see obese people in the western half of the country, they're virtually never OP's-pic-tier-obese.
From what I've seen of the country's eastern half during the times I've visited/lived in places out there, the only meaningful difference I've noticed is that, aside from enclaves of middle class-and-above suburbanites, basically no one is remotely conscious of their own health, and the supermarket selections tend to reflect this lack of demand for quality food, creating a vicious cycle of growing bodies and narrowing arteries. It's all I can come up with, but even to me, it honestly doesn't seem like a good enough explanation by itself.
