The Romans killed off the Iberian language, so what you are referring to is "Spanish" or "Castillian." As Portugal is also a nation on the Iberian peninsula, it is inappropriate to refer to Spanish as "Iberian."

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_Costa_Rica). You have deflected to race for some reason, but I was originally refuting language since OP was talking about language.
