I of course don't agree with slavery but from what I've researched the south was hit with heavy tarrifs from the industrial north who relied on the souths cash crops anyway, and even though the south fired the first shot, many people see the union being in fort sumter as an act of aggression. Do you think the CSA was right in it's want to secede? Imo slavery would have been abolished inevitably within 200 years and it's not like it was unsual for a place to employ slavery before around 200 years ago.
