>>11457744hopefully we get plenty more good in the future as well
what are you up to today?
>>11457765i don't mind these sort of temporary changes to be honest, though i know some people do. having systems meant to exist just for the lifetime of an expansion helps keep them feel distinct and fresh gameplay wise and even though they sometimes end up throwing balance into complete chaos i think that's usually a symptom of blizzard's stubbornness not to iterate or change stuff as time goes on. stuff like corruption and azerite were alright ideas for example but they just refused to make them more accessible for no good reason.
well the point that they were making is that people will absolutely look up the best builds given the option and for some reason blizzard thinks that's a sin so they want to remove the possibility to do it. in reality i think the crossover between the groups of people who feel like they can't make suboptimal build choices and people who have their fun ruined by not having options is so small.
people who want to play optimally will absolutely pick what's best and will very rarely get annoyed at their favorite option being bad. people who just want to pick what they think is cool/fun typically do not care at all how good it is.
of course in an ideal world everything is perfectly balanced so you can pick your favorite choices and be on a level playing field but that's so impossible. forcing people to instead actually cripple themselves for some things in order to be good at something else in the name of "significant choice" is such a bafflingly stupid mindset for a competitive game
listened to the mini. my earth is kinda weird all around but the rest of the album is insane. weeekly is probably one of my favorite songs out of anyone in a while and very deserving of the bold title
