Hyle is material, it is ashes dust, clay , dross. God isn't part of this
Logos is the rational scheme of the universe. It is the image of God's mind which is perfect and infinite.
Nous is the spirit of God, it is the life force
Men and women are made of Hyle but formed according to the Logos and then animated by Nous.
Thus when we fall in love with someone it is because we are infatuated and amazed by the power of Nous and the beauty of the Logos that form and animate the mere dross. When someone dies we lament the departure of the Nous and Logos and the decay of the form to mere Hyle.
Tattoos are a foul barbaric desecration or mutilation of the beauty of the Logos in men and women therefore undesireable.
