On my desktop I have a Logitech G610 and and G402.
I didn't really buy into the hype of "gaming peripherals" but when I used to play Counter Strike, my non gaming mouse would just freak out and point to the sky whenever I flicked it really fast. So I was forced into getting the G402.
As for the mechanical keyboard. It feels good, but I don't think it's really necessary. I used to play Street Fighter 4 on my old keyboard and it wouldn't let me press more than 4 keys at once and that was bad. But you shouldn't be using a keyboard for fighting games anyway.
