As someone who has gone to GW stores, events and tournaments for years and been an active part of the community since my adolescence. I find it disheartening how blatantly they're willing to lie about this stuff, like that twitter reply saying 100's of people are calling for this kind of stuff in the hobby is just an audacious and outlandish lie. No true hobbyist of any hobby, wants politics inserted into what they love. GW is doing this all for the money and, they're probably being paid to promote it as their franchises days were already numbered. This hobby uniquely appeals to White and the occasional Asian man. I can confidently say that after competing in circles for 25 years.

Everything is literally free, it's either already free or it's easy to pirate. If I actually _need_ to buy something physical I typically buy it used since I'm on low-income NEETbux. Literally just go onto AliExpress and buy some minature clones for like 1/4th the price. If you encounter someone who won't play with you because you're using proxies they're legitimately bad people and you shouldn't associate with them anyways.

And yeah I only read the books too, honestly I have no interest in the tabletop at all. Seems like a huge hassle and doesn't look fun to play. But if anything it's the books that are going to be affected by SJW pandering not the actual gameplay of the tabletop.

Before Christ Wraight's Valdor book where the soulless technocracy ties up all loose ends by murdering even its most loyal proponents by the tens of thousands when told to do so by their largely unseen master. 40K's as grim and dark as it ever was. The new Sororitas models are fantastic. It's incredibly easy to overlook the few performative gestures they've made and focus on the continued consistent high quality of the products.

Also the primaris troops are really nice models, although the mario karts and the tanks are genuinely awful. New Slaanesh mortals soon for AoS and I think they're going to be beautiful.
