Should I join 4chan?

I've been on reddit for a while now. It seems like a nice place on the internet if you know what you're doing, but I want more. I've heard about crazy stuff happening on 4chan and it seems like it gets to the nitty-gritty of the internet. It seems like an interesting place however, I've heard bad crap happening on 4chan and it seems scary at times. Should I make and account/what's your opinion about joining 4chan?
