As a rape survivor myself I can relate, but as a man, I don't have the luxury of pushing it off onto the entire gender my abuser belonged to. What this woman said is how I feel about my father, and I wish there were some demographic difference I could stereotype to try to explain it, like she did with men, but no, all I can say is it's a him problem.
