i don't know, i can only assume it's not easy and it's expensive, if you really want one and are rich you can probably get one by joining gun clubs and going through all the bureaucracy, only pistol caliber or smooth bore though

step 1. fill in licence form stating why you need a gun and prove it
step 2. pay $1000s for a gun safe or join a gun club with rent-a-safes
step 3. buy said needed gun
step 4. continue every year to prove you need said gun and expect regular police visits to check it is locked in its safe then pay your licence fee

Pretty common regarding rural areas

In Finnish Lappland there is the highest legal small arms ownership density regarding households.
Åland (Ahvenanmaa) also has a lot of guns considering the population.

I myself legally own four long guns (two of them semiautomatic) and two handguns.

all i believe are legal in countries such as czech republic or switzerland so if gun laws go to shit i'll probably move to one of those places

Without blood ties, for both of aforementioned nations the period is 10 years legally living in the country as an applicant for a naturalized citizen.

Finland has 5 years of the same But you need to speak sufficient Finnish to be accepted, plus certain credentials. We like Americans though.

You don't get to own a handgun by getting a jägarexamen, so that's a fucking lie. You have to train for several years as a pistol competitor, to even get to own a pistol. And even then, the kind of gun we're talking about isn't useful outside of sports. The other way to get to own a handgun in Sweden is to become a cop, and you don't get to keep that in your home either.

False. I have a handgun for "avliva vilt". And no you don't need to train for years to get a handgun. You have to be a member of a "shooting club" for 6 months to apply for a handgun permit.

No I have a real handgun. It's a Weihrauch HW 7 E .22LR (5,6X15R). You can get "more advanced" handguns if you're a member of a shooting club for 6 months. It's not that hard and no I'm not 15 and it's not my parents guns.

2. Apply for a handgun license.
3. It will most likely get approved assuming that you don't have a criminal record.
4. You now have a handgun.

I know this because my dad has a handgun and that's what he did and no it's not the Weihrauch. I have the Weihrauch from jägarexamen.
