But I do I think that if you want to covertly force social change, then you would have to grab a hold on as much power as you could, by any means necessary.
And he must be aware of the results of his machinations, because the only way to have that level of influence is by knowing things others don't know, and understanding things better than others do.
Even if his intentions are pure, he's still an evil guy.
