Here. I was baptized as a baby, but my parents never took me to church/exposed me to religious practices beyond that. Around the age of 10, YouTube had just been launched and I recall some of the initial videos on there included George Carlin stand-ups, so I would watch those and he gave me a mild framework of understanding for atheism as well as the bullshit pertaining to a LITERAL interpretation of the Bible (and many religious/spiritual texts for that matter). I considered myself to be atheist from that point on (even though, in retrospect, I would express a lot of spiritual energy/vibrancy/wisdom). Around the age of 16 I began to use psychotropic substances like LSD, shrooms, and salvia. Those experiences opened me up to a number of spiritual realizations. To clarify, I wouldn't use these substances as a party drug, I would plan for these experiences, go into nature (like a forest) with a friend or two, and be equipped with a specific intention/purpose for the trip, which usually pertained to introspection, self-reflection and psychoanalyzation of every aspect of myself and my life. Anyway, around the age of 18 I began exploring various esoteric and religious bodies of knowledge, like astrology, buddhism, hinduism, taoism, etc. as well as surface level studies into Greek, Norse, and Roman mythologies as warranted by my astrological interests. After a year of meditating twice a day, exercising 5 to 6 days a week, eating healthy/clean, playing my musical instruments for many hours in a day, reading the books that interested me, committing to an appropriate sleep cycle and removing any unhealthy habits (like vidya), I achieved what I would liken to an enlightened state of being. I could generate so much inner power/energy with my breath alone. I could attune myself to the surrounding environment and scale it up to the universe at large. (continued)
