Does "Rude" by the up and coming new outfit "MAGIC!" have, dare I say it, the greatest guitar solo in the history of the instrument?
I don't want to engage in hyperbole, but when I listen to this solo I am transported to another world. Another land where anything is possible, where I'm free from the dead weight of the past dragging at my heels. A place where I can fly as high as the sun and shine as brightly. Where my angel wings grow great and fiery, and the sun falters and falls to the sea in their presence. Can any other solo be said to do this? Can any other solo even come close?
