I use the star-topped ones alot when doing sheetrocking. Those are certainly much better than the regular + shape, I'm curious to know if the square one is better or worse.

Funny, about that. Robertson screws are very common in Canada but drywall is usually installed using phillips screws.

I use a screw extractor and if that fails, I just drill out the broken screw and re-tap the hole.
