Has there ever been a recorded instance in history of someone acting the part of the big villain in order to help the other side, until shortly before their death, something is revealed about their work? This kind of double-agent stuff is what I've been thinking. Plus, Hillary Clinton may have likely won without Soros' menacing presence looming in the background of her campaign. I know no historical figure that could fit the description.
Most tend to be more direct in their goals.
I'm not saying he isn't some double agent /ourguy/, but I don't really see any indication that he is.

Then again if I'm really honest very few of these people are truly evil. Most seem a bit too devoted to their good intentions, regardless of the outcome.
They've amassed enough good intentions to construct a 6-lanes highway + railroad to hell.
