well, when you put it like that, we call vegetables "green 'uns" as well (not an exact translation, just trying to approximate how bumpkin it would sound in english), but the word they used for greenness would usually refer to something like a green landscape. like, this town has a lot of greenness, or, my view has a lot of greenness. if i was being generous, MAYBE i could interpret it as meaning "leafy greens" if i knew i was talking to a foreigner, but even that isn't really helpful when it comes to a recipe.
i think it's only partially machine translated because some of the words make sense, like "head of onion" is translated properly, but on other words it sounds retarded. must have been done by someone in a rush or someone using an incomplete translations reference book.
