All the people here celebrate NY yet only a few of those who claim themselves Orthodox actually celebrate Christmas. It has no the same cultural value, not even close, it's almost none. So generally we celebrate New Year like those westward celebrate their meme christless Christmas. Same goes for Ukraine and Belarus, btw.
