One thing they do when they break off to room sweep is level their weapons before breaking the threshold of the door. That's something that irks me but a lot of actors in film don't know about this. It's better to snap into a room at a low ready in one fluid motion than to come in leveled off. Not something that hollywood really takes into account and I can't blame them. Only autists would notice or care.
