If I hold the image of Chino as my wife inside of my mind, and allow her to walk around in my thoughts, to talk to me, it is because my mind is forming an amalgamation of previous experiences that I am able to recall from the net of my memory and put together into an acceptably consistent form.
Whatever it was that gave rise to it must have all been indubitably real at some point.
