He killed himself some time early last year. His younger brother, Joshie, has since been stricken with grief, and has not been able to deal with the death of his older brother. Since then, Joshie has resorted to attempting to take on on Yonkers's persona and pretending to be him, presumably because he is unable to deal with his brother's death. It's quite sad to witness, but that's the truth and the basic run down.
It's obviously a fake though, Yonkers was typically very polite and willing to talk to us, whereas Joshie is filled with hatred and angst. Probably because of his brother's death, but still. He's doing a poor job of imitating his brother. The death of a close family member does that to a man, I guess.
