Hello and welcome to 'Drink Along at Home'
On today's blog post I hodgepodge together what I call a Choclate Cherry Manhattan.
For this to be similar in taste I have scrounged together:
Whiskey (I used this nice white label Evan William's I've not finished yet)
Cranberry juice
Grenadine
Choclate Bitters
A Cherry

Throw in three parts of both the whiskey and the cranberry juice. Three parts because your heavy handed and missed the two.
Cranberry juice was used because your dumb ass forgot to buy sweet vermouth.
Add three dashes of bitters because you pretend that it makes any difference.
Shake thouroughly

Nice. I'm getting into whiskeys and I really like rye. I've tried Evan Williams and Makers' Mark thus far, and I like (love to be honest) both equally. Any other recommendations?

Strain out into your one whiskey glass you haven't shattered yet.
Add a cherry because you pretend that you can mix a proper drink.
Squirt in a small amount of grenadine because you forgot to put it in the shaker.

Thanks for the rec, anon.

If anyone else has liquor recs, I'm more than open to hearing them. Sake recs too for that matter, Touhou meme'd me into wanting to try sake and I'm going to a store with a good selection tomorrow.

Start with gekkaike. Base level sale right there.
The black and gold was definitely a step up.
Most stores in the states have very few options.
At least my store doesn't. We have 5 on stock. Usually two because can never get them in

Thanks, I distinctly remember them having that one from last time because they're so large they have multiple international breweries, including one in California. I remember it because I was shocked to learn that there was a sake distillery that large outside of Japan, let alone in the US.
