>>11905241The English are a blend of Germanic and Celtic, the specific mixture depends on where you are and so does what specific Germanic and Celtic groups, for example in the former Danelaw in the north and east of England Norse admixture is more common whereas in the south east where the Germanic migrations originally came low German admixture is more common.
There are two main groups of Celts, Brittonic and Gaelic Celts. Picts were another man group but they were wiped out linguistically. The Irish and Scottish Gaelics are Gaelic as the name implies and the Welsh, Cornish and Bretons are all Brittonic which was the ethnic group of most of Great Britain prior to the migrations. The ethnic difference is pretty vague outwardly though, it's usually quite easy to tell if someone is significantly Celtic but it all relies on vague eye and hair colour and facial features.
