what really got me convinced was some guy had a drink with kanji on it and they asked if i could read it, then the man in question asked me whether it was true that the kanji for annoying is just the kanji for woman 3 times because he had seen it "somewhere." i swear to you i have seen dozens of posts about this sort of thing all over every platform, but i've only ever seen that particular example once and it was like a week ago on /v/
