I just went there with my friend once in my life, it was on my way trip to Qubec city.
As soon as I arrived at JFK airport, me and my friend got spoken by a black.

A white adult came up to us and grabbed our hands to separate him from us.
We walked around NY city street, but it was not impressed.
We were exhausted because of long trip. We somehow found a hotel where we stayed at.
But at the night we heard gun shot twice. We could not make a wink whole night.
That was my memory of America. We enjoyed while staying at Quebec city for one week.
