yeah. a lot of people seek a diagnosis as a scape goat. i don't think medication or therapy should be seen as bad things, but in my experience it seems to me that people just go "damn i'm unhappy i should really get with a psychiatrist" instead of putting any effort into introspection. stopping and thinking about your feelings isn't gonna fix all your problems, especially if you're in really dire straits, but that's all therapy is supposed to be anyway; a professional guiding you to figure shit out yourself. in my opinion drugs for mental state are a really extreme option that should generally be avoided unless it's doing something like suppressing schizophrenia or constant suicidal thoughts.
anyway that's all to say that if you're seriously freaking the fuck out because of work for a prolonged period, communicate that to your boss, and they can't or won't do anything for you then you just need to move jobs. maybe the boss is just a dickhead willing to cycle employees until they find ones with high stress tolerance or maybe you're working in an industry with really thin margins, but "taking mental health more seriously" isn't doesn't actually mean anything in this context. if not employers then who are you worried about not taking mental health seriously? friends and family? if they're not helping you out and/or bullying you for seeking help you need then that's probably a deeper seeded problem. if you're worried that there are loners out there that need to hear a celebrity say "it's ok to be sad sometimes" to consider improving their mental state instead of killing themselves then i think you're working on lost causes
idunno, i couldn't say why but it really reads to me as "sure i've probably been mean to people sometimes but not overtly or intentionally. my bad i guess, must be a big deal if everyone's this pissed so i'll try to pay more attention in the future"
goodnight
