Friendly reminder that Spain was Christian for about 200 years before the Muslim invasion. Then, for about another 200 years, 90% of Iberia was Muslim, and for another 581 years, 50% of Iberia was Muslim. So, Central/Southern Iberia was muslim for 781 continual years, compared to Christian for 200 years, and you call it the Reconquista? And no, Iberia was not "still majority Christian." The native population actually pretty willingly converted, and all historians admit, that in at least al-andulus, the native population was majority Muslim, and in the cities, 90%+ muslim. I'm not hating, just get the facts straight. Even adding up to today, Spain has pretty much, counting from Paganism which crept away in the 500s/600s in Iberia, been Islamic about as equal length as Christian.
