Hebrews were conquered by the Canaanites, the Hebrews never defeated them. The Canaanites ritual mixed their own faith with the Hebrew faith, creating the Jews.
The Canaanites had a massive empire, and in the time of Jesus, the Canaanites still had the city of Carthage, a major military power that invaded Rome, among other places. The Jews were enslaved for the past 1,000 years and powerless, much like today's goyim. The Jews were conquered by the Canaanites around 1,000 BC, before the Canaanites were conquered by the Babylonians maybe 700 BC, the Babylonians were conquered by the Greeks around 200 BC, the Greeks conquered by the Romans around 0 BC the time of Jesus.
There was never any Hebrew victory, and the Jews were corrupted by all of these invaders, hence why Jesus calls the Jews "children of the devil", because while they retained some scriptures, their faith was heavily mixed with Canaanite rituals, a parasitic style faith which infects and mixes with others, often by tempting people unto vice (Sodom and Gomorrah) and the Jews mainly practiced Canaanite rituals and ignored the commandments of God.
