If your job is legitimately exploiting you, quit and find another one that either pays you better or treats you better. Competition isn't just businesses competing for the consumers' dollar, but also for the best employees. I pay my employees better than most restaurants do and treat my employees well because I want to keep them around. They're good workers, and there are are a lot of other restaurants out there they could easily get a job at if they left mine.
