first it will get you something to do.
then later you might be able to turn it into a job.
having something to do really helps out.
another thing that helped me was abolishing the concept of the meaning of life and only living for yourself.
don't do drugs. you still want to live long and not make it worse in the long run.
make (and safe) money, money makes happy.
if all that doesn't help, consider that you might already be happy and that the image of happiness you have is wrong.
