>>12102200Yeah, got the non-perishables almost squared off. Also gonna buy water filtration tabs and a bunch of other stuff. Medical junk everyone should have at home n pillz.
I got into gardening last year when the lockdown started so I've dipped into being self-sustaining (surprise surprise, gardening is a lot more work than it looks. It's not just "fertilize and water the plants sometimes", you really have to be behind bugs eating your crops and all of that)
Irlmaier specifically said that wet stuff and stuff in glasses will spoil, so if you stock up on stuff get either bone-dry stuff (flour, noodles, rice) or stuff in tin cans.
Also personally I'll put my money into alcohol, tabacco, honey, lighters and other trade-ables over metals. I will get them but they are really last priority considering nobody gives a rat's ass for your gold or silver during a time of serious shortcoming, having actual food or useful stuff (like lighters or candles) to trade will go a much longer way.
I also recommend people getting non-electronic 'entertainment' stuff like books, board games, card games and so on.
Supposedly after WW3 according to Irlmaier we return to the technological standpoint of our grandparents. So no TV, no computers, no smartphones. Get ready for that, too. Try to find a source of entertainment that is not hooked to electronics and spend some time with it every day. It'll be easier to forget about electronic entertainment when shtf then.
