I recently read that the average young (Millenial/Gen Z) American loses their virginity before age 17.

What the fuck? I have never even thought avout wanting to lose my virginity. Sure, people talk about it a bunch on the internet but I thought it was a vocal minirity. Do people really just sleep around with everyone? I am 19 and still proudly a virgin, but when I hear about this it makes me wonder what the point of having sexual relationships even is. I want to preserve my virginity until I get married. But will I ever even find a girlfriend who is not a slut? Do people really tolerate this? Sex is supposed to be one of the most intimate things you can do with a person. How am I supposed to have a intimate long-term relationship with someone under these sorts of circumstances? Do people have no respect for themselves and others? Is something wrong with me?
