thats just framing, thats a mcmansion, they will insulate the hell out of that house. the problem with mcmansions is the icedaming and leaky roofs from all those stupid angles that are hard to flash properly. so much dead space in the walls too. the proper house in america is the georgian style or big greek revival style upright and wing farmhouses. they are so much more comfortable and modular but they generally are colder because of older building materials and the foreigners and women who buy them to look trendy then butcher the fuck out of the interiors so they lose all that classic victorian wall paper interiors.

This only happens if the house isn't properly insulated, and it would also happen to a house built with plywood or block if it wasn't properly insulated. In fact, my lower garage which is all block and below grade was colder than the upstairs which was all framing and OSB when the house was being built, even when it was dark and cold outside.
