I stopped used shampoo besides once or twice a year to reset my hair and my dandruff went away pretty quickly, maybe a couple of weeks or a month. When I want to wash it now I just use conditioner, and I'll do that weekly or fortnightly, whenever my hair starts feeling dirty.
I don't really know how hair care works but with shampoo it felt like I completely nuked any sort of natural oil in my hair, so I'd get a really dry and itchy scalp, whereas conditioner leaves it decently intact

I'm still washing it, I'm just not using any shampoo when I do. I only stopped because I don't have to go outside and I was curious, so this is very much a happy accident. I can't promise anything, all I can say if that there aren't any flakes on my head since I stopped using shampoo a few weeks ago. I don't want to give you any false hope or act like this is a miracle cure, but maybe give it a try.

Also I'd say I'm about as stressed as I was three years ago. Read into that what you will.

God I wish I could do this but I'm out of the house rather frequently and can't stand not at least conditioning every 2 days. I've had mad flakes all my life and nothing really stops it for more than 2 days. At least I've never been super itchy due to it.

I might do it once every two weeks or something now but that's it.

Non-linear inverse associations between coffee consumption and mortality from all-causes, cardiovascular disease (CVD), and cancers were found. The lowest relative risk (RR) was at intakes of 3.5 cups/day for all-cause mortality (RR = 0.85, 95% CI 0.82-0.89), 2.5 cups/day for CVD mortality (RR = 0.83, 95% CI 0.80-0.87), and 2 cups/day for cancer mortality (RR = 0.96, 95% CI 0.94-0.99), while additional intakes were not associated with further lower mortality. An inverse association between coffee consumption and all-cause mortality was maintained irrespective of age, overweight status, alcohol drinking, smoking status, and caffeine content of coffee. By region, Europe and Asia showed stronger inverse associations than US. A non-linear inverse association was found for mortality from respiratory disease and diabetes, while linear inverse association was found for mortality from non-CVD, non-cancer causes. Moderate coffee consumption (e.g. 2-4 cups/day) was associated with reduced all-cause and cause-specific mortality, compared to no coffee consumption. The inverse association between coffee and all-cause mortality was consistent by potential modifiers except region.

Use finasteride to go with it. It's cheap, like $200 a year if you go with the more expensive options. But it's worth it to have your hair.
If you get a hair transplant you're gonna be on finasteride anyway.

Yeah, more testosterone in your body will also mean more conversion to DHT. If you are already on TRT or planning to just use finasteride. Since you'd already be on TRT you shouldn't even get any side effects from fin either.

I can confirm this. I had hair coming out in clumps after my dad died when I was 22, I hoped it would grow back and it hasn't. I'm probably a Norwood 2.5 now and I fucking hate it. I have really thick hair, and my fringe covers it so it actually looks like my hairline is fine when reality it has gone to shit. I'm using caffeine hair growth shampoo, and I'm probably imagining it but there are what looks like new hairs growing along my hairline but I'm sure it's nothing.

Coconut oil before washing helps I found as it acts like a natural conditioner. If you want to go the extra step, look into soapberry shampoo as that is what the original shampoo was made out of. Less/no harmful chemicals compared to modern ones.

However the truth is that your hair follicles sensitivity to DHT is a way more important factor than the amount of DHT in your body. There's many bodybuilders that's been cycling T for 10+ years and still got their hair.

I leave it in for about an hour so it soaks in well. Prefer it other oils as it doesn't have a strong smell. You don't need to put loads in. I normally buy the cold pressed version so I just scrape a few spoons off and use that. I don't use a special shampoo but a standard one, but I heard soapberries are good for the hair and dandruff as it's natural. You can either buy soapberry shampoo or make it yourself by boiling soapberries and washing your hair with the bubbles formed. Not sure on a specific brand, but any thing with soapberries and good reviews should work.

Some people get amazing regrowth simply from finansteride. Some people get no regrowth at all from finansteride. Some people get great regrowth when they include minoxidil and possibly dermarolling.
There's really no way of determining what effect these things will have without trying
