yeah idunno it's a weird dynamic. if they're doing burning crusade then wrath of the lich king is guaranteed since while the people begging for classic wow were an extremely vocal minority with the amount of people who actually enjoyed it being even smaller, the sentiment that WotLK is the best wow has ever/will ever be is a HUGE circlejerk that basically everyone buys into. next favorite after that is pandaland, but between wotlk and mop is cataclysm which people are lukewarm to at best and generally considered to be the start of "modern" wow. if they're going to pandaria it would seem kind of odd and arbitrary not to keep going, but the next expansion is when everyone really started to cry that the game sucked and we needed classic servers so i don't see the point.
article's not really revealing much here to be honest. i imagine it'll just be the same execution as with classic which as i understand it was pretty solid
