>>12174078I love the disaster of the Third Reich more than most, probably because I have no real future. Centrism makes a lot of sense these days: it no longer has to serve as a fulcrum, it can use digital means to expand and envelop both polarities and effectively become a platform preventing either extreme from ever gaining leverage. Yes it's tepid and awful and utilitarian and ruled by demons that terrorise the youth, but if you're convinced you're alone in the world, and most are these days, it's your best means of survival. You just gently blow with the breeze and watch your feet so you don't trip. Horrifying really, but so are the alternatives. At least the Reich achieved immortality of a sort. Had it gone on for another 20 years, what a clusterfuck. Trouble with centrism is it's still earthbound, sitting on top of that reactionary platform. Those that rule from on high can just drop new horrors down on the platform with you periodically, to spice things up, and the next generation born on the platform will just assume they've always been there.
