There are many billionaires that are philanthropic, and they invest in buildings, housing projects, among many other great things. Super rich people, imo, should exist.

But everybody has the right to live decently, so I think the goal of Socialism should be to lift people from poverty - so everyone has a good quality of life.

sounds idealistic but I think the US is moving in this direction

it needs status quo to be static so they try to build an authoritarian society which is vulnerable to corruption, while literally killing off diversity as they might be destablize the norm(i.e. cultural revoluton)
