Getting the container out there generally costs more than just making a traditional cabin.

I’m trying to figure out how I can get innawoods safely, quickly, and hopefully comfily. I’m pretty much at square one and I don’t know how much time I have, so it will likely end up with me buying a used camper.

Shipping containers are garbage building material. Zero innate insulation, expensive, poor mechanical properties and weight bearing capability, and downright ugly.
They are cheaply built and rust out quickly.
You're better off with literally anything that is not a meme construction plan.

I think it is significantly cheaper and more efficient to just use metal studs and sheathing to create your frame, then you have a frame cavity you can insulate and put interior walls on. Those can be metal too I guess, I've never been a fan of drywall though it has better heat retention properties. You are then not limited to the shipping container shape (but can use that if you want) and can transport the stuff innawoods and position it all way easier. Shipping containers were designed for the very specific use case of modular infrastructure, they cost more like 5-6k for ones that aren't damaged as hell, it's better all around to design and build a different sort of cabin.

If you want a thermally stable nature-proof disaster-proof bomb-proof housing structure that will outlast you, take the monolithic dome pill.

Logistics, how are you gonna get those containers there? Do you plan on hiring a trained helicopter pilot with logging experience or whatever?

Not saying it can't be done but dirt back roads and thick forests aren't known for being easy to transport large metal boxes through. Also I'd imagine getting power outside of the grid even with big generators and solar panels or fuel won't be easy either.

True but thin sheet metal granted well built thin sheet metal has a lot of gaps and weren't originally intended to be air tight.
Plus a well insulated house is automatically a superior house for that alone.
One things for sure though OP's house will be better than the majority of shitty shabbily built Chinese plywood and dry wall homes that have a life expectancy of 5 years at best before they rot away or sag unless they get hit by a tornado or hurricane of course then it's even shorter.
