How do you keep cleanliness in your folder with images /bant/? I can't find the optimal way, I never know where is the image I need

Try to name all images after what you are seeing on them or find orginal name of it.

Always have:

A" 4chan folder" for 4chan only memes, screencaps and photoshopped m00t porn

An "Anime folder" for Cory in the House reaction images

A "Manga/Comic folder" for your Doujinshi fetish stories

A "Copypasta folder" for your daily posting routine

A "lewd folder" for fuck anime threads

A "Meme folder" for your favorite banana images from funnyjunk

A "WEBM/Gif folder" for blacked porn

A "Touhou folder" for Cirnoposting and /jp/ circlejerking

And a "Random/Other folder" for cheesepizza, because no one will look into a trash folder

Pro tip: I did this all above and have still a mess of 200+ images. I'm even too lazy to sort them for myself.

I have a folder for reaction images that contain subfolders of GIFs and regular images, another folder for random images that also have subfolders for misc images and YLYL images, a yet another folder for personal photos like my cars/cats/etc., and a folder for gaming-related things for /vg/.

I use a directory naming scheme related to where I found the image and certain common attributes of it, like animated, lewd, any memes that apply, etc, and a filename scheme that is basically tags and timestamps. I either name each image I save, put it in a directory that describes it's categories, or both. When I want to find something, I use the locate command w/ a custom database file, which is basically the linuxy equivalent of indexing your folders. So I can find stuff very quickly.

Memes are organized by their relevant board, but I also have a general meme folder. Reaction images are sorted by emotion. Anime and vidya art that I found cool or cute enough to save are in their own folders as well. In all cases if I accumulate enough images of a certain theme it gets its own subfolder. It's not perfect as I still have plenty of unsorted images.

After around 40,000 images saved, I gave up. I actually gave up at around 2,000. The only thing I do is shove all my saved images into a random new folder when it gets to be too much. That and you sort by date modified. It's fun to go back and look at the images, kinda like a mini time capsule.

I think the most efficient method would be to make a database, import your images into it and apply tags to each image which can be used to find it via a search bar
