I took a hunter safety course when I was like 9 and my gun etiquette and safety is still perfect. My dad is from out west, and he just rode around empty canyons and mountains all day with a rifle as a kid because his parents figured he wasn't retarded enough to somehow shoot himself or someone else, and lo and behold, he truly wasn't. I mean we've been using knives and bows since before copper, none of this is actually outlandish or new, the rest of the world just sort of forgot about their survival instincts and went soft...even the otherwise savage parts. You're not actually avoiding death or danger, if you wanted to do that you should outlaw vehicles and focus on good, safe mass rail. Which actually is the thing you should be lampooning the US for for having so little of and over-relying on dangerous highway travel for everything from commercial transport to predictive shipping.
Did you know the most dangerous job in the US, with a very clear victory, is truck driver? Far moreso than firefighters, more control over other peoples' lives, paid poorly, famous for mental problems, and quite frequently sleep-deprived though we did pass some good laws to stop that recently.
