They literally grew up living life on easy mode, at which point they get old and decide to "stop and smell the roses a bit more" or some shit while spouting cliches like "why are young people always in such a hurry."
Because they've got no fucking concept of living life constantly under the fucking hammer for time just to make enough money to get through the year. And because they've got no concept of it, and they're self centered cunts, that means the fact that to be young in today's world means to be constantly in a hurry is somehow your personal problem and thus no reason at all for them to get out of your way.
