if you arent planning for higher education while planning for sitting job it is good thing to practice I heard
also someone I know moved to japan with some programming knowledge and japanese skill so if you had been serious about what you said on /bant/ it might be actually desirable choice for you

I want to study physics though when in uni soon. It's just I kinda want to learn to code but I don't really see a reason for what I would learn it. I need a reason. And ya I didn't larp about that I'm currently learning japanese and probably will keep learning for some years

Coding is useful for Physics simulations (Monte Carlo and that sort of stuff). Also, it's good to at least know basic array and function handling for Linea Algebra and Statistics.
It's boring as fuck on its own, though.

You can also make productivity tools with your programming skills . Right now I am working on a calendar and a todo list , I also made something that randomly generates USDA compliant meals for me to eat. I also made a program where I can type yami "name of project" and then it opens up the project that I want to start working on. I am also working on personal wiki software so that my note taking can be more efficient. The main reason I like programming is that it is fun and you get something that you can use for the rest of your life out of it.
